I had the best day ever at the Just Nips factory in Michigan where we got to see all our new fancy machinery and make some nipples!
I'm so proud of how far we've come seeing as our old "factory" was the kitchen counter in my teeny tiny New York City apartment on 11th avenue with a pristine view of the place where all the garbage trucks sleep at night. Can you say CHARMING!?
The memory that sticks out to me the most from NYC is how I would start every single day picking hot glue chunks off the marble and ended every single day ... picking hot glue chunks off the marble. I'm also pretty sure it wasn't marble but "marble" if you know what I mean. Anyway, hot glue remnants were a staple of my life and while I don't miss that part exactly, I do miss the energy that came with using my hands for more than just typing (I mean texting, I mean Instagramming).
Also, if you can gather from all the hot glueing, this was a one-person show so things moved pretty slowly - one a at a time, freaking snail speed. But now, we make 8 nipples at a time which if you do the math (!!!) makes a couple hundred Just Nips an hour!
Wow. That's a lot of nipples.
